Except that we have been very busy with other projects.
Nothing is more important than Lana, Rocco, and Romeo wishing their cousin Emma a happy fourth birthday!!!!

an ongoing tribute to quite a little guy who was here for a short amount of time but forever changed my life. he was an angel sent to show me how to live, laugh, and love. If there is a heaven, he is the first person I hope I see when I get there. his little sister is there to keep him in line and to possibly snag something to eat off of a tabletop.

Ah, thanks guys! We love hearing all about your kids and check up on you every day. We are thrilled to see you back in the blog-o-sphere! Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma (the birthday girl)
My hounds both crossed over the Rainbow Bridge this past summer. My heart is heavy. I laid their little paws to rest in a lovely shady spot under the boughs of the aspens. I can see them resting there from my kitchen window. Sometimes when I get home from work, I walk slowly out across the big field to the trees and stand there, murmuring my love and loss. I miss my friends and no one ever has loved me and given me so much joy as they did. For fourteen years they were a constant reminder that God is good and life is beautiful. My son is far away in Afghanistan and my girls live far off in the cities. My heart is heavy and I miss my loved ones so.
